With the Blind Spot Information System, your new Volvo XC90 is able to identify other vehicles which may be in or about to move into one of the blind spots. If this occurs, the sensors will send a warning to the side mirrors on your SUV so they flash and alert you which side of the vehicle you'll need to pay closer attention before shifting lanes.
The Volvo XC90 also utilizes the Adaptive Cruise Control system to locate a lead vehicle, create a driving buffer zone, and then maintain that safer driving distance. This SUV will speed up and brake accordingly in order to keep that buffer with a lead car.
