After years of waiting, we've finally got our first look at all three top-shelf Volvo models. First, it was the XC90, followed this past year by the S90 sedan. The project focuses on the research and development of technologies related to autonomous driving (AD) vehicles. After the very successful release of the 2015 XC90, one would think that Volvo would be resting on their laurels. That's anything but true. The entire flagship lineup (crossover, wagon, and sedan) are being updated to the new design language. Recently, the next model was spied testing: the S90.

The new Volvo XC90 is revolutionizing the way we look at safety and comfort. They're already etching out a niche for top-tier customers with the introduction of the Excellence trim level, which offers some unparalleled luxury features.

That's not enough though.

To really set themselves apart from the crowd, Volvo has been introducing specialty concepts. They aren't yet being manufactured, but they give us an idea of where the company might be going. They previously revealed a lounge concept for chauffeured passengers.
